Reduce costs and chemical use with condensate recovery/return.
Condensate is a high-purity, high-heat-content water that is a valuable resource. Even condensate return in small quantities is often economically justifiable. As well as having heat content, condensate contains virtually no total dissolved solids (TDS), making it ideal for use as boiler feedwater.
Any condensate that is not returned needs to be replaced by cold makeup water, incurring further heating and water charges. Returning more condensate to the feed tank also reduces the need for blowdown, which in turn reduces the energy lost from the boiler. Condensate recovery helps you to:
- Reduce water charges and fuel costs
- Reduce boiler blowdown and make energy savings
- Reduce chemical treatment of raw makeup water
