Overview

What is Waste Incineration?

The incineration of sludge waste, derived from wastewater, uses thermal treatment to oxidise organic matter contained in the sludge. Incineration is carried out in a furnace using oxygen and high temperatures (over 850 degrees Celsius) resulting in total, or near-total, oxidisation of the organic material.

Veolia Waste Incineration Plant

PYROFLUID is a thermal waste treatment system which oxidises organic matter contained within sewage sludge. It operates at 900 degrees celsius, incinerating sludge in only seconds. The system produces recyclable by-products (ash and dust) which can potentially be used in road construction, concrete production or sent to landfill. The system is fully compliant with the most strict emission standards.
