MBBR Applications - A complex problem with a simple solution

View our MBBR applications webinar - a complex problem with a simple solution. Learn how Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) technology is having a positive impact.

Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) technology is well known as an effective method for removing ammonia, nitrogen and biological oxygen demand from wastewater; however you may not be aware of the diverse range of MBBR applications that exist if you have only encountered the treatment in one context.

Download our webinar to hear William Jeal, Veolia Water Technologies and Elodie DeJean, Anoxkaldnes, as they discuss "A complex problem with a simple solution: MBBR”,  and how this technology is having an impact.

Topics discussed

  • The extensive and diverse range of Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) applications
  • Roughing MBBR: relieve existing highly loaded process lines by reducing organic loads upstream in small MBBR volumes
  • Polishing MBBR + Hydrotech Discfilters: the compact and easy way to manage complementary nitrification and SS polishing with no disturbance on the existing lines
  • Conversion of Activated sludge plants into MBBR for drastic capacity increase, or IFAS using Hybas Fusion - offsite fabricated nitrification booster
  • ANITA Mox: the best solution for treatment of effluent highly loaded in ammonia after digestion with or without Thermal Hydrolysis
  • Q&A with the presenters

Discover our innovative developments on traditional MBBR technology

Customer feedback on our existing MBBR solutions has helped to guide our focus in R&D in creating solutions that address genuine customer needs. These include the development of HYBAS FusionTM and ANITAMoxTM.     Read our blog to see how MBBR technologies can help your business.

MBBR Case Study - Cudworth wastewater treatment plant

We developed an MBBR solution for Cudworth wastewater treatment plant who required increased secondary capacity, increased nitrification and increased solids removal at their plant. This resulted in the performance of the plant running at 95 percentile.
