Veolia Water Technologies Delivers for Twin Wastewater Facilities

Veolia Water Technologies was involved in upgrading two facilities in the South East to accommodate the growing population. These sites needed technology that could achieve extremely low phosphorus levels, specifically <0.1mg/l and <0.08 mg/l, which are the lowest ever required in the UK.

The Actiflo Turbo® range is a compact and prefabricated solution that can be easily craned into position. It is 5 to 20 times smaller than other conventional clarification units of a comparable output, thanks to its use of microsand for ballasted flocculation. This method, developed by Veolia Water Technologies, makes it highly suitable for the application. As a result, the units were specified for each site.
