Titanium Dioxide Plant Utilises VWT UK RO Units to Facilitate Refurbishment and Site Upgrade Works
The company in question required a reliable source of process water for both its production of titanium dioxide, where it is used for cooling, as well as for feed water for its polishing plant, which supplies water to the power station on site.
Veolia Water Technologies UK recommended the installation of its SIRION™ Mega RO units configured for duty/duty/standby. This solution presented a robust design with a desired contingency to ensure continuous production.
The implemented SIRION™ Mega RO units can began removing up to 98% of dissolved inorganics and over 99% of large dissolved organics, colloids and particles. Fitted with a frequency-controlled variable speed pump, the system offers savings of up to 50 percent on electrical power compared to conventional units too.
