Head of Compliance

Based at our Lane End, High Wycombe Office

Permanent, Full-time, Monday - Friday 37 hours per week

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our leading, well respected water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role in establishing compliance standards and design improvements to internal control structures. You will also be responsible for minimising legal risks by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforcing regulations, recommending new procedures and complying with legal requirements. The area of responsibilities would require expertise in:

  • Managing the QHSE team 

  • Leading the regulatory compliance of our activities with the team Manufacturing, R&D and our international regulatory consultants 

  • Working with the Legal department on compliance matters 

  • Protecting assets by tracking applicable laws and regulations that affect financial reporting and anticipating the emerging compliance trends, including cybersecurity.

  • Utilising outstanding leadership philosophy to promote employee participation, using creative and proven problem solving techniques to contribute to organisational success.

  • Representing Quality at senior management, project, executive and reviewing meetings.

  • Supporting ELGA’s oversees manufacturing and supply chain facilities in all aspects of quality and regulatory compliance (eg. EPA) 

  • Supporting the ELGA organisation on its environmental transformation.

  • Leading the compliance team and to be the first point of contact for regulatory matters.

  • Developing, implementing, managing and maintaining quality and H&S systems to support ELGA’s commercial, development and manufacturing activities.

  • Having an overall responsibility for Health and Safety across all ELGA sites ensuring all employees comply with H&S policies

  • Reviewing all customer satisfaction surveys and customer contacts and complaints. Also responsible for reviewing complaint trends and product/component failure analysis; reviews corrective actions with appropriate personnel.

  • Preparing reports and other documentation required by regulatory and compliance agencies and to support the quality function.

  • Providing oversight for quality activities in all departments, including manufacturing standards and quality protocols and guidance for product development procedures  and programmes.

  • Ensuring that all development and manufacturing processes and products conform to in-house policies, procedures and applicable regulations and guidelines.

  • Assuring systemic corrective actions are implemented across all facilities for issues found through internal and external audits, customer complaints, warranties and internal quality issues.

  • Interfacing with business partners, suppliers  and supply chain representatives concerning problems with all aspects of quality and assure that Quality response teams are responsive to customer requirements and requests.

  • International customer and supplier visits to review and address quality issues together with Compliance appliance and guidelines 

  • Budgetary and managerial responsibility for the Quality department.

  • Communicating relevant regulatory and quality standards that will ensure or provide additional competitive advantage.

  • Represent Quality at senior management, project, executive and review meetings.

  • Support ELGA’s oversees manufacturing and supply chain facilities in all aspects of quality and regulatory compliance

  • Supporting the ELGA organisation on its environmental transformation.

  • Leading the compliance team and to be the first point of contact for regulatory matters.

General requirements for the role:

  • Educated to a Degree level

  • International Compliance Association (ICA) certification, Certified Securities Compliance Professional (CSCP)

  • Experience working in an international Organisation in a senior compliance/quality position.  

  • Professional recognition in the field of Compliance / Quality (Chartered or International equivalent)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an International Compliance role
