Our compact skid-mounted ultrafiltration (UF) technologies remove suspended solids, most bacteria and log4 viruses. These systems use ultrafiltration membrane technologies and are predominantly applied for industrial process water and borehole water, as well as recycling/reuse.
Ultrafiltration uses membrane filters with pore sizes of typically 1 to 10 nm, which can remove particles as small as protein macromolecules. UF is an excellent technology for ensuring consistent ultrapure water quality with regard to particles, bacteria and pyrogens.
Water flow is directed straight through the membrane, or in ‘cross flow’ fashion where a portion of the input water flows across the membrane surface to filter out most colloids, enzymes, microorganisms, particles and endotoxins above their rated sizes. Further benefits include:
