75 years since ELGA launched its first deionisers
ELGA is celebrating its 75th Anniversary. The family business, originally founded in 1937 to manufacture domestic electrical appliances, moved into water purification driven by the problem of limescale forming in steam irons filled with hard water. ELGA developed a small deioniser to purify water and prevent limescale formation, and realsed the technology had great potential in other applications, notably research laboratories.
Since then ELGA has changed water purification with its introduction of innovative, award winning ultra-pure systems.
"Delivering water purification systems and customer service for more than seven decades is a testament to ELGA's vision, commitment and stability. We look forward to delivering innovative water purification solutions for another 75 years and more," says Martyn Fisher, Managing Director, ELGA Process Water UK.

Health & Safety Manager
"This year, we were delighted to receive the RoSPA gold medal award for the 9th consecutive year. This great achievement recognises our ongoing hard work, commitment and positive Health & Safety culture. We've all worked hard to achieve and maintain the highest possible standards in Health and Safety."
"ELGA has always continued to innovate and implement solutions to help us deliver a higher standard of customer service. One example is that all of our engineers use digital pens to transfer key data directly to the office. This not only speeds up the reporting process but also enables standard parts and consumables requests to be actioned immediately and at the same time significantly reduce the volume of paper we use."
