The Client's Needs
The Wellcome Trust Brenner Building has laboratories spread over six floors all requiring Type II water for general laboratory use. Two floors also needed Type 1 ultrapure water, free from bacteria, endotoxins and nuclease, for critical analytical applications. Their existing system which produces Type I and Type II water was becoming unreliable and had high operating costs. Laboratory Manager, Sarah Perry, wanted each floor to be independent, and for Type I water systems to be stand-alone. She wanted to deal with a specialist company and contacted Veolia Water Technologies UK.
